Love in the City: Alexa and Joe’s Moody Chic Wedding at Zeitz MOCAA

Oh, where do I even begin? Alexa and Joe’s wedding was an absolute dream to bring to life! From the moment I met this stunning couple, I could feel the love radiating between them. Alexa, a beautiful American bride, and Joe, her charming South African groom, had a love story that began in the depths of Canada and blossomed into something truly magical. When they approached me to plan their special day, I knew we had to create something extraordinary. And what better backdrop for their love story than the stylish Zeitz MOCAA ocular in the heart of vibrant Cape Town?

 

 

The theme we landed on was moody chic – a blend of clean whites with pops of red, shades of pink, and fruity details that added just the right amount of drama to the occasion. As guests entered the venue, they were greeted by white tablecloths adorned with vibrant florals and candles, casting a warm, romantic glow throughout the space.

They had this one-of-a-kind, statement floral-filled ceremony, and a dreamy reception. The details were everything – from the stunning dessert table and wedding cake by the incredibly talented Kerri of Cake Patisserie Studio, to the breathtaking floral arrangements by Marissa of Opus Botanicals, and the exquisite stationery by Fiona LoveWildly Designs. Every element was carefully curated to reflect Alexa and Joe’s unique style and love story.

 

 

Capturing every moment of this magical day was the incomparable Anneri from Basque Imagery, whose talent behind the lens brought our vision to life in the most beautiful way. And let’s not forget about Alexa’s two stunning looks – both of which had me swooning from the moment she stepped into them.

But perhaps the highlight of the evening was the music – provided by the incredible Dandy and the Kicks, who had guests dancing the night away under the shimmering disco balls. It was a celebration filled with laughter, love, and perfect twirling opportunities, especially for Alexa in her party outfit!

As the night came to a close, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for being a part of such a special day. Alexa and Joe, it was an absolute joy to work with you both, and I know your love story will continue to inspire all who know you. And to Brad Jackson, I simply can’t wait to see the footage of this unforgettable celebration!
